We used this hotel for our wedding block for our 150 person wedding with mostly out of town guests. We wanted a hotel that could accommodate a lot of guests, have spaces where we could get ready on the wedding day and host a Sunday brunch, and that would show our guests the best that Cleveland has to offer (we had a lot of guests who had not been here before). This hotel hit all the boxes and more. Katie worked with us for over a year to make sure that everything was in order for our event. She gave us frequent updates, gave us multiple tours, and helped us plan the various aspects of our weekend that occurred at the hotel. She provided great options for our needs, helped us budget these out, and was also present during the weekend to make sure everything went smoothly. There were a few other things that really stood out to us about our experience with the Intercontinental. When my husband and I came back after the wedding, there was chocolate covered strawberries and champagne waiting for us! We used the Falcon Room for our Sunday Brunch and it was the perfect space for us to enjoy a relaxed brunch as we wished our guests goodbye. The food was amazing and the space was comfortable with a mix of soft seating, cocktail tables, and round seated tables. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to any couple looking for a high-service hotel that will personally work with you to make sure all your needs are met during your wedding weekend.

We stayed there July 4 weekend. The rooms met expectations for a 4.5 star hotel. They were clean and well maintained. The rooms are showing minor wear probably due to age. It's an excellent place if visiting the clinic. There is a very convenient bridge to the main clinic building. All other clinic buildings are short walks from the hotel. University circle with museums and much of Cleveland's cultural options is a very short and safe walk during the day and early evening hours. Dining options are limited to one on-site restaurant and room service. The quality of food is very good for both options.

The hotel and service were great. The restaurant was a complete disappointment. The breakfast buffet was an assortment of what tasted like reheated leftovers. We had tastier food at the food court in Cleveland Clinic.

This hotel has seen better days. The rooms need a deep clean and refresh (stained carpet and bedding, worn furniture, dirty bathroom). The AC in the room could not keep up and it was very humid. When we returned to the hotel on our last night there were police in the driveway and hotel lobby and the valet was asking us a bunch of questions that hadn’t been asked before; we asked an employee at the desk if there was something going on and she responded, “there’s always something going on.” Didn’t make us feel the safest about this location or hotel. Would definitely look for another place to stay next time we visit the area.
