Great hotel downtown. Beautiful city views from the higher floors (especially during the holidays), comfortable beds, great service from friendly staff. Lobby is safe/secure. Easy to walk from the train. Always enjoy my stays here.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel! We had absolutely no problems at check in, our room was ready and our luggage was taken to the room for us. We had a city view, which was great until it was time for bed. The noise was awful! The next morning I went to the front desk and reported an issue we had with the room, not a deal breaker and then inquired about possibly moving to a quieter room. Freddy went above and beyond for us! We got a new room and the noise was almost obsolete, we were able to sleep so much better! The location is fabulous and convenient! The rooms have a few minor flaws that could use some updating, but nothing to gripe about. Our room was spacious, beds were comfy, and most importantly was very clean. Checkout went very smoothly. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thank you, Freddy!

A good hotel in a great location. The primary reason to stay here is the location. You're right in the middle of Magnificent Mile and you can walk to great restaurants, shops and landmarks. The area is beautiful and we had an amazing time exploring Chicago. The hotel itself is very nice, but also a bit dated. For instance, the elevator banks have separate cars that go to different groups of floors. Some might see this as old school charm, but I found it somewhat annoying as we always had to wait for an elevator. The room and bathroom also lacked modern lighting fixtures. And the Wi-Fi would occasionally kick you off. But I want to stress that this is still a good place to stay. The bed was extremely comfortable, they have a magnificent pool that any private club would be envious of and the gym is pretty good for a hotel. And the staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a good hotel that could be great with a renovation.

Just OK, I wouldn't pay to stay here again. We arrived to check in around 11 am which is well before check in time and were told we'd get a call or text when our rooms were ready which is great. We walked around and got some food etc. then came back and were waiting in the lobby for about an hour as we still had not received a text or call and at 3:15 pm we went and inquired about our rooms again. We were informed they had been ready for several hours but for some reason we didn't get a call or text, somewhat minor but annoying. When we arrived to our rooms there was a box of old food in the mini fridge and long hair on the wall in the shower. The phone handset was broken and only worked on speakerphone. Again not a huge problem but well below expectations and makes you wonder if they aren't maintaining the place or if they even cleaned the room or just made the beds and left. The rooms were unremarkable, your standard bed in a box which is the norm for most hotels. The only other complaint I have is there was a nice long ledge/shelf attached to the wall below the TV and no way to use it to charge phones, computers, etc even behind the TV (it was all locked in a panel). The only outlet in the room was in a bad spot with no table nearby so I had to move a table across the room to place my computer and phones on which is not an oddity either but in 2025 you'd think they would have a more well thought layout. The hotel does have some interesting architecture and decor outside the rooms though and the drinks in the Michael Jordan steakhouse bar were very good. To be fair we were given 2 drink vouchers for the 3 of us (not sure why not 3) for the check in annoyance but then the bartender told us they didn't accept them. Overall an OK stay with way more small annoyances than most stays I've had.
