View from the room at the InterContinental Budapest. Waking up to the Danube, Buda Castle, Chain Bridge, Gellért Hill and all the river boats right under the window — honestly unbeatable. You’re on the Pest side, but you get a full panorama of Buda like a postcard. Rooms themselves are a bit classic/old school in style, but the location and the view are 10/10. You can just sit by the window with coffee and watch the city move.

The location is hard to beat — right on the Danube with a perfect view of the Chain Bridge and Buda Castle. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained, though starting to show a bit of age compared to newer hotels nearby. Service was professional and courteous, especially at the front desk and concierge. Breakfast selection was solid, with plenty of local and international options. It’s more of a classic, polished hotel than a trendy one — ideal if you value comfort, consistency, and a central location.

From the moment I arrived at the InterContinental Budapest, I was treated to an exceptional experience, but what truly elevated my stay was the Club Executive service. The staff were simply wonderful—immensely helpful and attentive without being intrusive, making me feel genuinely cared for throughout my time there. The culinary offerings at the Club Lounge were a daily highlight, with a fantastic variety of high-quality dishes. Beyond the lounge, I had the pleasure of dining at the Lebanese restaurant, and it was absolutely brilliant. The food was authentic and flavorful, and the hummus was so excellent I even took some away with me to enjoy as a snack later. My riverside room was a dream, with spectacular views that were simply breathtaking. The comfort of the bed was also a standout—I have never slept so well. The combination of the impeccable Club Executive service, the wonderful staff, the comfortable beds, and the amazing views made my stay at the InterContinental Budapest truly unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Just got back from Budapest and was a little disappointed about this hotel. The location was great but the rooms are so outdated, rugs all over the hotel. Would have like to have gotten a room with the view of the river but what we got was a view of another building very close to our windows. I asked the front desk if there was a possibility to get a room with a river view but was told I would have to pay an extra $55 extra a night. The employees were very nice and pleasant. Would I stay here again, I don't think so. All in all it was a good trip.
