This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at, it was really impressive. The decor is very modern and relaxing, the staff are incredibly helpful and nice, and the balcony suite was spacious. The executive lounge is top notch, with a breakfast that is unbeatable, as well as great drinks and appetizers. The concierges are really helpful and can arrange for fun activities in the city, even if the visit is short. In fact, we forgot a pair of shoes during one stay, and when we returned, they had been placed in safekeeping, even with a photo for identification. This will 100% be where we stay when we visit Barcelona next.

Overall a fantastic stay at the Intercontinental Barcelona. Room was very spacious and the A/C was able to cool the room down to a comfortable level. On the rooftop pool, Irina and Karina provided amazing service; when all the chairs were filled they were able to find me a spot still for us to enjoy a late lunch. Breakfast was good but it felt like most items were the same on the second day. Bell staff was great and always willing to help with luggage and taxis. Checkout was seamless as well with a quick explanation of my charges and quite a few follow up emails checking to ensure I had a great stay and if there were any issues. Location wise, it's not in the heart of all the touristy locations but there are nearby bus and metro stops to get you quickly to where you need to. FreeNow (the taxi app) was also very affordable and an easy way to get to the heart of Barcelona. Glad we picked this hotel instead of the Barcelona EDITION.

I truly enjoyed this hotel. Stayed for 3 nights and attended our annual eXp Realty convention. Great staff, excellent service. Good breakfast 😋 with lots to choose from and you get to order eggs 🥚 in addition to the buffet! They served so much food in between the conference I would say best, best conference setting ever! We also swam in the roof top pool and partied on the roof top bar on the 7th floor. The views from the roof top are phenomenal. We celebrate summer solstice there it was spectacular with fireworks 🎆 everywhere. The rooms are spacious and the room service was excellent! In Spain, service is not their strong point but I can tell the really did their best. We did order food at midnight and sat in the lobby, the food was good (it took them a bit of time since we had a table over 10+). The bar area is so pretty. They have plenty of places to hang out. Highly recommend!

I do not recommend staying here unless you’re attending a conference or event at Fira de Barcelona. Take it easy and look into the below; The bathroom had two toilets, one for washing, which was loose and unstable, this was a clear safety issue. I reported it to maintenance, but unfortunately, it was never fixed. ^ There seemed to be no management presence in the hotel, it was difficult to escalate issues or get proper follow up. ^ The location is quite poor for tourists it’s only convenient if you’re attending an event at Fira de Barcelona. ^ The cappuccino tasted like pure milk with almost no coffee flavor at all. ^ At checkout, I was not given a proper invoice, it lacked full details and was not officially stamped. ^ The food was disappointing. I ordered a Margherita pizza and received something undercooked, basically raw dough. ^ Staff are polite and listen to feedback, but no action is taken, it feels like they’re trained to just acknowledge complaints without resolving them. ^ There’s an unnecessary attempt to upsell or justify higher prices, which doesn’t match the quality of service offered. ^ There’s an excessive sense of pride and arrogance around their Michelin starred restaurant, instead of elevating standards, this attitude led to genuinely poor service and quality. For regular tourism or a comfortable hotel experience, there are much better options in the city,
