Hotel Kazbek is truly a five-star gem nestled in the Marina area of Dubrovnik. With only about 13 rooms, the hotel feels intimate and peaceful — perfect for a relaxing stay away from the busier parts of the city. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. One of the highlights of my stay was the serene pool area in the back — quiet and uncrowded during the day, with a charming pool house open from 1 p.m. to around 6 p.m. Breakfast is included daily from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. if you choose that option, and it is absolutely worth it. The food was superb throughout my stay, from breakfast to dinner, but what stood out most was the exceptional service. The staff at Kazbek are incredibly hospitable — warm, helpful, and always going the extra mile to ensure a wonderful experience. Shout out to Mato and Atune for their kindness during our stay. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. If you have the opportunity to stay at Hotel Kazbek while visiting Dubrovnik, don’t hesitate — it’s an experience you won’t forget.

Our stay at the hotel was genuinely memorable. The room was much better than expected (elegant, not dated) and while not especially large, it felt carefully designed and comfortably refined. We were kindly upgraded to a room with a lovely view of the inner courtyard, which added to the sense of calm and charm. The property itself has a distinct historical allure: it was once the summer residence of the Zamanja family, one of Dubrovnik’s noble lineages, and that legacy is still present in the building’s architecture and character. The pool area was also a highlight—serene and well-kept, offering a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. Altogether, the hotel balances heritage with comfort in a way that feels authentic rather than staged. It’s an ideal choice for those who appreciate subtle elegance and a sense of place.

We loved this hotel. Friendly staff who made sure we had a packed lunch for our last day because of a very early departure. Great location near great food and sites. Highly recommend.

I would like to share about my dining experience with Kazbek, we visited it for breakfast and dinner, as external guests (without room booking). Generally, I had very good impression, as food had been tasty and the waiter lady was very hospitable, I really felt welcomed. The other breakfast, unfortunately, was the opposite. We also visited at the same time, and there were other waiters, young men, and I did not feel welcomed and friendly approach at all. I had to chase them each time, I needed a drink or even just bread, and they would serve without any hospitality and even be annoyed that I “dare” to ask for something. And it was the opposite from the Lady’s waiter side, she would be very proactive, so she offers options even before I realise that I need more coffee, juice or smth. I had a feeling, the second case waiter’s treated this inhospitable and unfriendly way, as we were external guests (just paying for breakfast, without room). But it should not be the difference?! We are all guests and expect the service. Hope the management discusses this issue with the staff. Ps. My kudos to the chef and kitchen manager, everything has been very tasty.
