Great stay at the Indigo which was a simple walk from the train station. Got upgraded to a suite because of my loyalty program and had a big room with a great view of the cathedral. Rooftop bar was very nice in the evening. I didn’t eat there so can’t comment on the food. All staff were helpful with the front desk going above and beyond to ensure all was good. I had a five-star stay and would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Indigo in Exeter is amazing! We had a family emergency with our son who is a student at University of Exeter. The hotel itself, the staff and its location delivered and was one less stress on our plate. Michal, Desiree and Vicktora were extremely responsive at our ever-changing situation and just genuinely kind and attentive. The hotel an room was a perfect home away from home. Many food options in the hotel as well as immediate surrounding area. The rooftop deck was really lovely. Added bonus was hearing the Cathedral bells from time to time on my walk back to the hotel after a long day. Highly recommend Hotel Indigo!

This hotel ought to be amazing. The location is perfect, the vibe fab, and the rooms really well appointed - clean, well furnished, great blackout curtains, and nice and quiet. Two problems. Roof bar was shut. No idea why. And breakfast was a shambles. Gave up and left 30 minutes after sitting down and not having so much as a coffee. The buffet had no plates or glasses for juice - I eventually used a milk jug for some orange juice as we left. Hot food orders that I saw being delivered were wrong and late. Why hotels do this is a mystery. It was a busy weekend - uni open day - but that is entirely predictable and known well in advance. Absolutely ruined our experience and now have to launch into a battle to get a refund for breakfasts we could never have had. Well done for saving £50 on casual labour costs. Really not a great way to save money. This place could and should be amazing. But sadly ruined by a very poor start to our day.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for the first time last night in Room 617. Unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing due to a number of issues that disrupted what was meant to be a special and relaxing evening. Around 8:00 PM, we began hearing a loud clicking noise at regular intervals (approximately every 5 to 10 minutes) which made it very difficult for us to sleep. We had hoped for an early night, but the noise persisted, and by 9:30 PM we had to go down to reception in our pyjamas to request a room change. We were told that the noise needed to be inspected first, which meant waiting in the lobby with all of our belongings before finally being moved 20 min later. We were relocated to an accessible room (no. 408), which unfortunately had several issues of its own. The toilet flush wasn’t working properly, the bathroom flooded after a shower due to the open wet-room design, the window couldn’t be opened for fresh air, and the temperature was stuck at 23°C with no way to adjust it. The way the staff handled the situation was unsatisfactory and after messaging the manager Fernando we received no reply and no compensation let alone a refund. We paid £160 for a very underwhelming experience and were astonished by how poorly the staff and management handled the matter. We will definitely not be coming back as our money was completely wasted.
