I am not sure why this is listed as a 5 star hotel because it certainly is not. I would not stay at this hotel or this area unless exclusively before or after a flight into DPS airport. The pictures online are much nicer than in reality. The beach is depressing. The pool area is not nice enough to qualify for a 5 star hotel. It's a 3 star property. Suites are big albeit a bit outdated. This is the first time that I couldn't stomach a hotel breakfast, and I've stayed in everything from 2 to 5 stars across the world. The scrambled eggs were actually green. The croissants were not fully cooked. The sliced ham looked like spam. Just not good. We also gave food a try at the Palms restaurant. Actually disgusting. The mango lassi was white and tasted just like cardamom, no mango. The beef rendang was literally 5 small cubes of beef that tasted just like stewed bland meat, zero flavor. The pineapple fried rice had two tiny little cubes of pineapple and then two slices of pineapple on the side. The staff try to be very attentive, but I found it invasive because they would come check on how the food is almost immediately upon starting the first bite. They need to chill. Big props to Ami in reception who was dealing with huge groups, delays in room cleaning, coordinating transportation, and all with a smile. She knows customer service. Overall, not trying to trash this hotel, but would use it just as a transition in and out of the city to avoid having to deal with Bali traffic right before or right after a flight. That said, if you can afford something else, I'd not make this hotel the resort where I spend my days in Bali.

The outside is well, but the room is really bad. The room is old, small and very wet. Many areas that are rusty. So, communicate with receptionist to cancel the room, the receptionist agreed with it. But, after few days, the reservation replied that the cancellation with no refund. We tried to call reservation, but still not go through yet. I consider this as a deceptive act, which has made me particularly disappointed with my trip to Bali.
