Tucked in the heart of Port Douglas, Hibiscus Resort & Spa puts the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree Rainforest within easy reach, with Mossman Gorge just 20 minutes away by car. A short stroll takes you to the golden sands of Four Mile Beach and the lively boutiques and weekend markets along Macrossan Street. The hotel is located approximately a one-hour drive from Cairns Airport (CNS). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days before the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for a credit up to 21 days before the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

Please Note:

  • Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
  • A$100 food and drink voucher can be redeemed at La Cucina + Bar, located a five-minute walk from the resort at 2/4 Macrossan Street.
  • Bookings for La Cucina + Barare are required, and the credit is only valid during your stay.
  • The included credit must be used in one transaction. No minimum spend applies.
  • Any unused credit will be forfeited and is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
  • Any amount exceeding A$100 must be settled directly with the restaurant and cannot be charged to your room.
  • The 30-minute spa treatment is one per package and includes either a facial or a massage at Hibiscus Day Spa.
  • Spa bookings are essential, and guests are advised to arrive early for their treatment time.
  • A welcome bottle of wine is an Australian sparkling and served on arrival.
  • For the Lady Douglas nature cruise, guests must contact the resort’s reception before arrival and will receive a voucher upon arrival. Four cruises run daily: Morning Cruise 10.30am to 12pm, Midday Cruise 12.30pm to 2pm, Afternoon Cruise 2.30pm to 4pm, Sunset Cruise 4.30pm to 6pm. Onboard guests receive a complimentary drink and a box of snacks.
  • Housekeeping is not provided for stays of up to seven nights. For stays of eight nights or more, a mid-week service is included.

Angelique is amazing!! I keep coming back to this gorgeous resort and Angelique’s care of customers is second to none. I love her friendly and warm welcome, each time I visit. The resort is in a perfect location, with two fabulous pools. Mitch, the manager is also fantastic at helping you with any of your holiday needs! Highly recommend.

We spent 5 nights at Port Douglas and had the pleasure of meeting both Fiona and Angelique. Both of these staff members were at every point, professional, kind and extremely helpful with any queries or questions we had. They are certainly a huge asset to this business. I don’t have anything bad to say about Hibiscus! I was looking for accommodation that was a reasonable price but still felt luxurious and this was perfect. I could’ve spent many more days here relaxing by the pool. The room was clean, kitted out with everything I needed, the pool areas were beautiful and the location was ideal for getting to shops, beach or harbour. I liked that the rooms were self contained rather than having to go through a hotel reception, made the whole thing feel really chilled. I was here alone and felt totally safe. Will come back!

I travelled to Port Douglas with my family and we loved Hibiscus Resort! The customer service was top notch. Mitchell was such a great help to us and he even upgraded our two rooms to a single, two bedroom apartment. The tropical Balinese vibes were super fun and we enjoyed the pool. The rooms were clean and included thoughtful amenities. Slept great on the beds, as well!
