Amazing experience at Grand Velas! The hotel was pristine and the service was top notch. Special mentions to Salvador with the concierge team and the hostess at the evening restaurants who was so sweet with our 1 year old. We will visit again!

What a wonderful resort, every thing was so perfect, from check in to check out, rooms are very spacious and with all the facilities includes a jaccuzy tub, we were at 8th floor, best view from there, house keeping did amazing job, minibar, and inroom snacks are plenty, the best part was the food and great staff, we used french, italian and azul restaurant plus bar at lobby and coffee shop all are wonderful service, barbq at beach was great, the quality of food and drinks was on it best. We love our morning beach walk, it was best part of our day, and as the beach is open to all, we love to talk and meet many lovely local people, also there are mini shops near the beach for local made sovieners, we shop a lot from there and love to talk these people, they are amazing. There are lots of beautiful art work through out the resort and even in our room, water and towels are available in all chairs and kabanas near the beach. Pool and pool bar also nice and clean, staff are always there to help us. Overall great resort with nice facilities and value for money, great job by managment and trainers for making this resort upto 100% mark✨️💥✨️ 2nd day of our stay, so far AMAZING SERVICE and THE BEST, out of all resorts we have been✨️✨️✨️ Check in, rooms, house keeping, staff, location, facilities and best food all are 100% to the mark. We just returned from a 4-night stay at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. The food was outstanding, the resort was spotless, and most of the staff were truly exceptional—especially Maria (concierge), Edwin (bellboy), Celso (Lucca) and Audrey (Lucca and Frida), and the wonderful ladies at the Kid’s Club. They were warm, professional, and made us feel incredibly welcome. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by how poorly management handled our room reservation. We booked a Parlor Suite directly through the hotel months in advance—specifically for the separate bedroom to accommodate our toddler’s sleep schedule. When we arrived, we were told none were available and were placed in a different suite without a separate room. Management insisted it was an "upgrade," but it didn’t meet our needs. They said they would “ensure we had the best vacation ever” but refused to offer an apology, refund, or even a basic gesture of goodwill (the manager introduced himself the next day after breakfast, but that was it). This was our first vacation as a family with our 2.5-year-old daughter, and it was disappointing to see how little effort was made to resolve their mistake. Amazing staff, but unresponsive and dismissive management made this a frustrating experience.

Great hotel, especially for kids, but don’t let them nickel and dime you. We were there for 5 days, all-inclusive. Other reviews have covered the food, and the kids club is a fantastic amenity. We were offered $50 transport from the airport, which turned into ~$130 on the final bill. Additionally, after booking, they charged an extra $80 per kid per night, despite their site saying that kids stay free. It went on like that, and never once did a billing surprise go in our favor. Just felt very scammy. Ignore that and they get five stars.
