Back in march I came down from Queensland and stayed at this location for a couple of nights. The views were breathtaking not to mention at night never seen so many stars. The service was fantastic and the staff were super friendly, kind and helpful. I would definitely return back to this location for a peaceful break. Big ups to freycinet.

Freycinet Resort proved to be an excellent choice for our recent stay, offering a truly enjoyable experience. The location is simply superb, perfectly positioned for easy access to both Coles Bay and the stunning Wineglass Bay walking tracks, making it an ideal base for exploring the best of the Freycinet Peninsula. Adding to the charm, the sunrises from our room were absolutely beautiful. Our room was commendably clean, providing a comfortable and welcoming space after a day of adventuring. A standout feature was the heated bathroom floor, which was a delightful touch, especially on cooler mornings. Beyond the amenities, the staff truly made our stay. Every team member we encountered was incredibly friendly and genuinely helpful, adding to the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the resort. The breakfasts were absolutely phenomenal! We especially loved the salmon avocado toast, which was a delicious and fresh start to our days.

Very interesting stay here. The trip up is through gravel road but very manageable. Look out for the signs. Room is as per pictures and very clean. The bathroom is definitely on the small side. Bed is nice. Views are great. Heard the restaurant is a new addition. Food is Japanese inspired and tastes delicious. Tad pricey for sure but with good service and good views. The grounds will have wild wallabies daily if you’re lucky. We caught the Aurora at the restaurant as well so pretty lucky. Would recommend a stay for an interesting experience. I wouldn’t term this luxury but for the experience and views, I would place this above most hotels.

We recently stayed in the Hazard View Retreat room, and while the location and views were lovely, our overall experience was disappointing. Firstly, I want to acknowledge that the staff were absolutely wonderful. They were polite, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the room itself had some serious issues. A leaking downpipe just outside the bedroom window caused loud dripping sounds on the hot water tank, keeping us up at night. We reported this immediately and even sent through a video during our stay. To make matters worse, the brand-new carpet in the bedroom, although beautiful, had such a strong chemical smell that it made the room unpleasant to be in. To the point we slept with the window open in freezing weather and still woke up with stuffy noses. We raised both concerns with the team, and while we were promptly moved to another room (thank you again to the staff), it was a clear downgrade from what we had originally booked. After our stay, I emailed the resort requesting a partial refund due to the inconvenience and room downgrade. I received a blanket “no compensation” response and have been ignored ever since, despite multiple follow-ups. It’s a shame, because this could have been handled with a bit of goodwill and decent customer service post-stay. I hope this review encourages management to take these types of guest experiences more seriously and respond appropriately.
