Fantastic place!!!! If you arrive from the south...you will first have to cross the river with a little ferry (10 roupies x a car, free x scooters)....beautiful experience !!! Then...when you arrive at the fort : wow!!! Old fort with its chapel inside, incredible view, delicious food! We could visit some rooms....great and so romantic! Such a stunning place! 😍😍😍😍

We spent 3 nights at the fort with family . Our experience is awesome . Very courteous staff, sumptuous food and exquisite location ( it is on a cliff) . There are only seven rooms and the hotel staff makes you feel special . It is located on the northern most tip of Goa , takes time to reach ,but worth all the effort . Do take the ferry to visit the beach across the river and heritage walk to the half moon beach .

Nestled at the northernmost tip of Goa, Fort Tiracol Heritage Hotel is a perfect blend of history, scenic beauty, and tranquility. Originally a 17th-century Portuguese fort, it has been restored into a boutique heritage hotel while preserving its colonial charm. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with breathtaking views, this place is a hidden gem. Ambiance & Location Perched on a hill, the fort offers stunning panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Tiracol River. The sunsets here are mesmerizing, making it an ideal retreat for couples and history lovers. Despite its remote feel, it is relatively close to Arambol Beach (about 30-40 minutes away), allowing access to a more vibrant Goan experience. Stay & Comfort The rooms maintain an old-world charm with antique furniture, high ceilings, and stone walls, yet they are equipped with modern comforts. The fort’s peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for relaxation, away from the usual Goa crowd. Dining & Experience The in-house restaurant serves delicious food, though it is on the pricier side. Since it’s a boutique property, amenities are limited—there’s no swimming pool or spa, but the experience of staying in a restored fort is unique in itself. Pros & Cons ✅ Pros: ✔️ Spectacular sea and sunset views ✔️ Rich heritage ambiance with well-preserved architecture ✔️ Peaceful and non-touristy experience ✔️ Close to Arambol Beach for those seeking a mix of serenity and beachside fun ❌ Cons: ✖️ Slightly remote, requiring a ferry or long drive from central Goa ✖️ Limited facilities (no pool or spa) ✖️ Restaurant is expensive compared to local options. Fort Tiracol Heritage Hotel is ideal for travelers seeking a unique historical experience, away from Goa’s typical party scene. If you love heritage properties, scenic locations, and a peaceful atmosphere, this is a fantastic choice. However, if you’re looking for a more lively, beach-party vibe, you may prefer staying closer to Arambol or Morjim. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you enjoy history, nature, and solitude with easy access to nearby beaches.
