The best part was the warm and personal Fijian hospitality. So different to the international resorts. It just felt more relaxed and it was reasonably priced for meals, rooms and massages. Lovely sunset views, nice pools with the villas, comfortable apartments. Meals and entertainment were good. You can swim in the sea and it’s right next to the yacht marina. The apartments aren’t new and more equivalent to an Australian 3-4 star, but the warm hospitality was better than the impersonal large hotels. We will go back.

After years of staying at big resorts this was our first stay at First Landing. It was fantastic with a real sense of 'island time' that is often lost at the bigger resorts. There was plenty of shade and the gardens are beautiful. The villa was incredible, spacious and I was worried the private pool would be cold but it was perfect. The staff were amazing and allowed my son to play vollyball with their team each day - thank you! We were able to fully relax during our stay. One restaurant, and the food was excellent quality no matter what we ordered. NOTE: If getting transport from the airport, ask them to stop at a supermarket on the way. The small shop on site only does biscuits. Bottled water can only be purchased from the bar, and at bar prices.

Our family of 5 spent 4 nights at First Landing Beach Resort in a 3 bedroom garden villa in Sept/Oct 2025. We had three large bedrooms with comfortable beds and private ensuites each, a large shared living area inc kitchen and recliner lounge suite and a private Pool. The villa was fantastic, the staff were incredible and the atmosphere felt way more authentic and genuine than when we stayed at a large chain resort on our previous visit to Fiji. The restaurant food was excellent and family friendly and the service was brilliant. The warrior dance was excellent. There is a small Beach that is very tidal but a beautiful reef with lots of fish, seahorse, starfish and coral is along the rocks in the boat channel was an awesome surprise. We also took the local bus into Lautoka supported by one of the staff. She showed us around to a mall and market and helped us get better prices for souvenirs and fresh fruit. Highly recommend First Landing.

We absolutely loved our stay at First Landing. There were six of us in total with two kids, two parents and two grandparents. The beachfront villa was perfect and being right by the ocean was incredible. We did not realise how peaceful and quiet the resort was until we took a day trip to one of the islands. Coming back to the calm and relaxed atmosphere felt like pure luxury. The staff were outstanding and made our stay truly memorable. A special thank you to Rosa who provided exceptional service at every meal and to Miriam who organised activities with such energy and warmth. All of the staff went out of their way to make us feel at home and were especially amazing with our son Sam who has a disability. Their kindness and thoughtfulness meant so much to us as a family. A beautiful setting, wonderful people and memories we will treasure. We cannot wait to return.
