Ecopia Retreat is hidden amid 150 acres of natural wildness, within a dedicated wildlife sanctuary in Seddon on Kangaroo Island, South Australia’s remote, wildlife haven. Enjoy exploring the best sites the island has to offer, with the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch both a one-hour drive away, the white sandy shores of Emu Bay 40 minutes from your villa, and Seal Bay an easy 18-minute drive away. The eco-retreat is located approximately 30-minutes from Kangaroo Island Airport (KGC). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

The retreat itself is an adventure into eco-luxury, made up of just two luxuriously appointed rammed earth eco villas (Ada and May). Each stunning villa is meticulously designed to soften the environmental impact and offer unparalleled off-grid living with solar power, rainwater, double glazed windows that bring the outside in, and an intimate freestanding bath for moments of romance.
The eco-conscious ethos adds to the elegance of this adults-only haven, where you’ll discover a charming log wood fireplace, a self-contained kitchen with a coffee machine boasting biodegradable and compostable coffee pods, and an abundance of wildlife (including a habitat for the endangered glossy black cockatoo). Your hideaway is complete with binoculars for spotting that wildlife activity that’s not quite at your doorstep and a special torch for nighttime exploration – with red and green lights that won’t disturb the wildlife!
