Such a delightful gem in the middle of the city. The rooms and the design of the public spaces were thoughtful representations of DC culture over the years. The staff was friendly. The on site eateries were quality. Many destinations were within easy walking distance. I look forward to my next stay!

I cannot express how wonderful this property is. Every inch is thoughtfully designed and decorated. You can feel the humanity and connectedness of the mission of this company. It's a perfect spot for downtown DC. There's a wonderful restaurant/bar and a bakery/cafe. Plus, a rooftop bar (I did not visit this amenity tho) The room felt like I was visiting a family home thats so inviting, cozy, clean, and rich in all the unexpected ways. The staff is so incredible and kind in a genuine way. It feels like they really enjoy being here and providing hospitality. I feel like I made a bunch of new friends. I will be telling everyone I know to stay here.

Our stay at Eaton DC was overall very enjoyable and relaxing, though it did start off with a few bumps. At first, we had some issues with the room, but the housekeeping staff and front desk were extremely understanding and helpful. They quickly accommodated us with a room that better suited our needs and made sure we had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We stayed for 11 nights, and the staff was consistently responsive whenever we needed anything. The room we ended up in was spacious enough for us, which we appreciated. One thing to note: the rooms come with a cooler rather than a standard refrigerator, and it doesn’t get cold enough to store food. Since we needed a fridge and microwave, we asked the front desk, and they brought them up to our room right away, which made a big difference. We didn’t get a chance to try the wellness center or other hotel amenities, so I can’t comment on those. But based on our experience with the staff and the room, once the initial issues were resolved, our stay turned out to be comfortable and relaxing. Thank you to all of the staff involved in making our stay enjoyable, especially Faye and Maggie for their kindness and support throughout our visit

I recently stayed at the Eaton DC Hotel, and while the property itself is absolutely 5-star, my overall experience was disappointing. On the positive side, the hotel is stunning — cute, unique, and thoughtfully designed. From the furnishings to the atmosphere, everything feels intentional and inspiring. I especially loved the book selection and the different perspectives the hotel brings forward. It’s a truly impressive property. Unfortunately, the check-in experience brought down my rating significantly. Despite already having my credit card on file, I was not allowed to check into my room because I didn’t have a physical card for incidentals (no tap-to-pay option). When I asked about canceling for a refund, I was told it would still be charged to my account. This policy felt contradictory and inflexible, especially given that my card was already on file and able to be charged. To make matters worse, the front desk staff member I dealt with (I believe his name was Hector) lacked empathy and hospitality. Rather than trying to explore options or even show understanding, the interaction came across as dismissive — a simple “sorry, it’s our policy” with no effort to help. Because of the lack of flexibility and the poor service at the front desk, I unfortunately have to rate this experience at 2 stars, despite the hotel itself being outstanding.
