Some much we liked about this hotel and location. My wife loved the proximity to so many Indonesian and other asian restaurants in Suffolk street. A short walk to Darling Harbour and the Maritime museum. Easy airport train access walking to Town Hall or Museum stations. The cafe at ground level with outdoor seating. The room is modern, spacious and clean with innovative touches like complimentary water is recycled, refillable aluminium bottles.

After 20-hours of flight time, this hotel and the staff are so greatly appreciated by my wife and me. The front desk staff upon check in were gracious, professional and so accommodating. These same actions were present throughout our 4 night stay. We knew nothing about downtown Sydney but online the Darling Quarter seemed to match up with our likes such as location, local transportation and cultural access. We chose wisely. Sydney is such a walkable city and this location/hotel is a prime spot. I highly recommend this hotel and its staff. Kindest Regards

I recently stayed with big family at the Crowne Plaza Darling Harbour, and I want to praise the wonderful service from the staff, especially Tiara and Kate. From the moment I arrived, Tiara welcomed me with a warm smile and was very helpful with all my questions. Her friendly attitude made me feel at home. Tiara impressed me with her great customer service. She knew a lot about the hotel and local attractions, giving me fantastic recommendations that made my stay better. Both Tiara and Kate showed they truly care about the guests, making sure everyone feels valued. Their hard work and kindness reflect the high standards of the Crowne Plaza. I really appreciate what they did for me and hope the hotel recognizes their efforts. Thank you, Tiara and Kate, for making my stay so enjoyable!

When checking in, we were told we were being put in a quiet room. On our second morning we woke up hammering from above at 7. I went down and asked reception about it and was told there was no work at all being done in the hotel, so it must be from somewhere outside the hotel (nevermind that we were clearly hearing it above us). Half an hour later I received a call that yes, it was happening above us and they started at 7am and they didn't know when it would stop. I went down again after breakfast and talked to the duty manager who offered us some points and said if we were going out that she would call us when it was done. 2 hours later we returned and we were told it was done, but they never called us. 2 days later we never received the promised points so I went and chatted with the duty manager's boss and walked her through how we were lied to that nothing was happening, lied to about being issued points, and lied to that they would follow up and call us to tell us when it would be completed. I also advised her if they had just given us a heads up the work would be happening, we could have planned accordingly and avoided all the frustration, but apparently their maintenance team doesn't share information with the front desk. She didn't offer any additional accommodation than the already promised points, but at least she followed through on issuing those. Besides the above issues, the breakfast was mediocre in quality but the staff was fantastic. And we used a suite upgrade, but the "suite" was just a standard-size hotel room with a bath tub in addition to a standing shower. And we picked this hotel instead of the Hyatt Regency close by because of reviews there mentioning traffic noise, but we were overlooking the intersection and listening to cars and motorcycles revving their engines all day and night when the light changed to green, so we might have preferred near constant highway noise at the Hyatt.
