I went to the yearly (ICA) Indians for Collective Action award ceremony. They feature someone who is making a difference in India. This year Mittal Patel won and her org. will receive funds. She has been helping the nomadic tribes find employment, education, housing, ID and Voting Cards. It was well attended. Many South Indian women dress in beautiful saris. Amber India catered the event. I look forward every year to attend this important cultural event. I love hearing what amazing things are being done in such a large country with many poor citizens. Often, water, is also a key concern. A group of teens spent 2 weeks in India and found the experience rewarding.

Exceptional resort! Spacious lobby, wonderful breakfast buffet and delicious dinners. Very nice little bar/lounge area. The pool & hot tub area is amazing and very spread out, 11ft deep at the end! It's all kept up very well. Pleasant and helpful staff. We would come again.

We attended a ballroom gathering here October 2025. This was the dinner. It is the worst chicken I have tasted. Does the chef here think that serving dry unseasoned chicken is the standard of a 4-star hotel let alone CROWNE PLAZA!? I understand that this may have been the cheapest option for the dinner group that reserved the ballroom. They could have spent a few extra cents to add some kind of flavor: like gravy, seasoning, spices… something to add flavor! Do better!

Absolute worst experience of my life. First the person checking in had no clue what she was doing apparently her first day. It took 2 hours ri check in. The rooms were nice enough. But had no power adapters or USB ports. The staff were friendly for the most part. Then in the afternoon someone grabbed my backpack from the pool and towels. What they were u aware of is that my wallet was there and when i was able to retreive my backpack the wallet was gone. I looked everywhere. Spent all day.. and the staff blamed me. And didnt even try to assist me. Then they charge me. A late check out fee $115 and keep the $50 for deposit. The room was barely slept in and not a mess. So ridoculous. Never staying here,again.
