Chamberlain West Hollywood

we recently stayed at the chamberlain in weho and overall had a really lovely experience! the moment we walked in, the lobby decor caught my eye—absolutely beautiful. we were upgraded to the residential suite (thanks costco!) and i was so pleasantly surprised. the suite itself was spacious and modern with a separate living room and kitchenette area. everything felt very clean, and having a tv in both the living and sleeping areas was super convenient. honestly, the bed and bedding were so comfortable i could've spent all day in them. the bath amenities were also a highlight—they smelled amazing and were really moisturizing. the customer service was wonderful from start to finish. everyone from the front desk to the bellboys and valets was friendly and accommodating. they helped us receive a package during our stay and always had our car ready each morning for our adventures. the location is perfect too—close enough to the sunset strip and great restaurants, but far enough from downtown LA that it felt like a nice escape. the rooftop pool was warm with lovely views, though it did get a bit chilly at night when we visited. a few small things to note: while the suite was spacious, the bathroom felt quite small for what i expected from a suite. there was absolutely no view from our suite, just a tall grey wall. housekeeping only comes once per stay, so during our four days we didn't have service. if you need fresh towels or your bins emptied, you have to request it from the front desk. when someone did come to empty our bins, they were on the phone the entire time, which felt a little off. also, the pool hours seemed inconsistent—posted as closing at 10:30 pm, but staff asked us to leave at 10:00 pm even after we clarified. the complimentary water, coffee, and supplies also weren't replenished daily since housekeeping doesn't come by. despite those minor hiccups, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back!

We had a great 2 nights stay at the Chamberlain West Hollywood. The room (227) was clean and very comfortable — I slept incredibly well thanks to the super comfy bed. The location is excellent: tucked away in a quiet spot, but still within walking distance to everything in West Hollywood. A few downsides: We booked a suite expecting a bit more, but it was on the first floor with no real view and no chairs or setup on the balcony, which felt like a missed opportunity. We also spent quite a bit of time at the rooftop bar — it’s charming but quite small and lacks enough seating, especially during busy times. Overall, a great experience and I’d stay again, just with different room expectations.

The place was clean and the room was large and well set out. Overall it was a good place to stay but there were a few things that annoyed me. The reception staff were not rude but definitely not welcoming or smiley. The lifts/elevator are ridiculously slow. We waited 5 mins once and ended up walking the stairs. (First world problem I know, but still, just have lifts that work.) It’s only a 9 story building or at least communicate it with your guest they’re not working. The pool area is great but the chlorine they use smells funny. We stayed in 8 hotels in the US over the last 4 weeks and none were like this. You could hear the hotel room above or next door at night when they used the shower. We had a balcony big enough for a small table and chair but nothing to sit on out there. They offer a complimentary late check out to 1 pm but then want to charge $70 for a 3 pm check out, then half day rate until around 6 pm, and full rate after that. I get needing to pay for staying longer but the pricing doesn’t really make sense for the time difference. As I said at the start, all in all it was a good hotel, clean and nice, but just multiple small things that could easily be fixed.

So the location and staff are amazing but I was really disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. We used points for this trip and I don’t think I could imagine spending the full price when the rooms had stained towels and dirt in all the corners and visibly on the bathroom door. Valet parking is the only option and it is 65$ a night. The style and atmosphere was great and the rooftop pool was incredible but it definitely felt noticeable that it was so expensive with this level of cleanliness.
