We had such an amazing stay at Breakas Resort, truly a little paradise! The food was absolutely delicious, and we were so impressed by the attention to detail from the kitchen. A big thank you to Head Chef Paolo, whose dishes were consistently fresh and full of flavour, and to Cynthia for her warmth and hospitality. The private beach is stunning and perfect for relaxing or going for a snorkel, we saw so many colourful fish right off the shore! The adults-only atmosphere made it wonderfully peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. Every staff member was kind, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. We left feeling completely recharged and grateful for the experience. Highly recommend Breakas to anyone visiting Vanuatu, we’ll definitely be back!

We stayed here for about a week. We hired a car for the week so location didn’t matter to us as much. Overall we had a wonderful time, we’ll go back for their specific food in the future. Pros: - Cute huts, it’s definitely something to experience once. Loved the design and it was cool at night - Tasty options on the menu, the muscles were my favourite - Tasty and generous drinks! - Friendly staff - They helped us taking our suitcases to our hut - Infinity pool - Adorable kittens! - Fire dance - No mosquitos - Kava ceremony Cons: - Breakfast was not good. It was the worst breakfast I’ve had so far traveling. There weren’t many options, and the fruits tasted like they prepared them few hours earlier. - The breakfast buffet didn’t look clean. There were marks on the plates and cups, and often there wasn’t enough plates/cups/cutlery. - Everything takes a long time here. You need to add 30 minutes to whatever time you get hungry. Also add half an hour or so to the time you need to leave for the airport. Drinks take forever to get prepared here. - It feels like they don’t have enough staff - No internet in the huts - The service and everything could improve, for example, I didn’t notice we could get towels to sit on the beach chairs till the last day! That shouldn’t have happened, they should be available to guests easily. - No room service - Things could be more hygienic overall. For example I made tea in the room and the tea bags weren’t in small packs, there were all in a container, which anyone could have put their dirty hands in there… - One of the guests told me that they had a medical emergency, and this resort didn’t have proper emergency kit. This lady was in a medical field, she told me they didn’t even have bandaids and their other things seem to have expired many years ago! - I went to the beach right at the front and it was filled with these weird looking things! I think they were sea cucumbers but I’m not sure. If you do go here, make sure you wear your rock shoes at the beach.

We had a nice stay at Breakas. The staff was nice and there are beach chairs at the beach and pool area. The rooms are all beach and garden huts with a half exterior bathroom. They are spacious, have a mosquito net and a ceiling fan. Not fancy, more on the basic side. No aircon, no TV & no Wifi in the rooms. Breakfast was included which was nice to start the day, they had cereal, pancakes, toasts, fruit and some sweets. You could also purchase something hot from the menu. The restaurant was also open for lunch and dinner & we tried some pastas and pizzas which were nice. Happy hour from 5-6pm. There is an ATM in reception for anyone that needs one. It is a little bit out of town, but you can catch a bus to town for 150 Vatu. Nice sunset views! In my opinion it’s targeting more 50+ couples & with a romantic vibe, but we still enjoyed it in our 30s. Adults only which is good! On a negative note, the person that checked us out made a negative & uncomfortable comment when I mentioned I wanted to take the local bus to Hideaway, telling me just to take the taxi with the guy outside; and also when I said I was staying at Poppys later to experience other areas of town, he put a weird face and said Poppys was not good.

I had an absolutely amazing, tranquil stay at Breakas. The rooms are absolutely divine. The pool and beach area are beautiful. It was definitely 9 days of pure relaxation. Regina one of the waitresses was particularly charming and funny and made my stay extra special. But all the staff from the security to the reception were all so lovely. The only downfall for me was the food at the resort. Breakfast is exceptionally basic and the lunch and dinner menu was very hit and miss.
