Speedboat Transfers:
- The resort is located approximately a 25-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport (MLE). The resort can be reached by complimentary speedboat transfers, available for all guests.
- Complimentary transfers are available from 1 November 2024.
- Transfer timings are arranged based on your flight arrival/departure time, if you are arriving on an international flight. If you require a transfer from another resort or island, transfer timings are organised based on your local transfers.
- Timings for your transfer will be confirmed the night before your arrival.
- Please contact the resort directly at reservations-vabbinfaru@banyantree.com with your flight details at least 48 hours prior to your arrival to arrange your transfer.

The day visit to Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru was absolutely excellent. Within one island you have the opportunity to visit the neighboring island Dhawara Ihuru. Excellent reef around both islands. Very helpful and smiling staff for whom nothing was a problem. The highlight of the stay was a visit to the award winning Japaness restaurants with a two-level pool. Thank you Fatima and the team

This wasn’t our first time in the Maldives, but it was the first time we experienced such a truly perfect vacation!
The hotel is ideal, with amazing staff and a special atmosphere.
You get the feeling that the island is entirely yours. We only caught glimpses of other guests during breakfast, lunch, or dinner — it’s absolute privacy.
The villa has everything you need — even beach bags and slippers.
The spa is outstanding — honestly, it was the best massage we’ve ever had on the islands.
The island is small — you can walk around it in 15 minutes at a relaxed pace.
Malé is just a 20-minute boat ride away (but keep in mind — you can see it from the island).
The island is very quiet, and that’s what made it even more special for us. There are no loud entertainment programs — occasionally there’s live music, but it’s quiet and tasteful.
A great bonus is that you can visit the neighboring hotel (Dhawa), with boats running on a schedule every 2 to 2.5 hours.
We were traveling with our child, and she slept on the sofa. Unfortunately, the air conditioner blows directly onto the extra sleeping area, and it's impossible to sleep without it. In the end, we all slept together on the main bed, which was fine — the AC doesn't blow there.
The only drawback for us was the dining structure. Breakfast and lunch were fantastic — everything was fresh, and the staff could prepare anything you wanted.
But dinner was a bit of a challenge. The buffet is only available three times a week, and it's truly excellent when it's on. On other days, you can choose between the neighboring island (slightly lower food quality), a Thai or Japanese restaurant — each offering only three limited dish options (We don‘t like the choice of the food). To be honest, this was a bit stressful. A daily buffet dinner on this island would have been far more convenient and enjoyable.

We returned to Maldives after COVID and we chose Banyan Tree again due to the last pleasant experience. And this time we brought our kid and parents with us and they too had a fantastic time. Needless to mention about the reefs near the hotel which was breathtaking and even our young kid got to enjoy the snorkeling to the fullest checking out sharks and all different colorful fish.
Our stay at this Maldives resort was again remarkable, thanks to the extraordinary care and attention from the staff, they went the extra mile to make sure things are well taken care of. Special thanks to Waheed, the hotel manager, whose warm leadership ensured every detail was perfect, and Zendie, the restaurant manager, who made every dining experience delightful and personalized, this definitely helped compensate the quality of the food in the hotel that needs certain improvements. Chef Ann was wonderful and her Thai dishes are one of the best to try on the Island.
We were especially touched by Okta, who went above and beyond to assist us even during her off-duty hours, showing genuine kindness and dedication.
The presence of a clinic on the island also added peace of mind, reflecting the resort’s commitment to guest well-being. My family got an emergency after diving and good to have the help of the in-house doctor to care for him during our stay.
This team’s unmatched hospitality made our trip unforgettable. We can’t wait to return!

Great hotel, offering unforgettable experiences. Firstly, it is located only 20 minutes away from the airport when traveling by speedboat. All the staff are incredibly polite and have a great level of english, all of them were great, I just couldn't remember all the names. We received a great welcome from Luu and Harry, which showed us the island and explained how everything works. The food was great, especially the omlette from the chef during the morning breakfast. There is a great variety of activities such as snorkeling around the house reef. For surplus charges, you could try scuba diving, which is a great experience, or go to an excursion to see the manta rays. Both marine lab and marine center offer great activities, such as save the reef from Harry and other staff. You should definitely try the night snorkeling with Chika, which will be the most insane 1 hour of your life. Finally, every 2 hours there is a boat which can carry you to the island nearby, where you can do snorkeling or diving. Definitely recommended this hotel which gave me unforgettable experiences for my whole life
P.s. had fun chatting with Zendie and Chika, they are awesome people 😀.
