Atzavara Hotel & Spa is located in the coastal town of Santa Susanna, just a few metres from the sea, with Catalonia’s picturesque Montseny Nature Reserve as the backdrop. Barcelona and Girona are both around 40 minutes away by car, and Costa Brava’s scenic towns and beaches are right at your fingertips. The hotel is located approximately a 30-minute drive from Girona-Costa Brava Airport (GRO). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

Tourist Tax: Please note a EUR3.30 tourist tax per person, per day applies, payable directly to the hotel.

Blackout Dates & Surcharges: A non-refundable surcharge per room, per night may apply, payable at the time of booking. Dates and prices are identified in the Booking Calendar. Blackout dates may apply.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.

  • Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.

Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.

Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).

Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

Please Note:

  • Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
  • Daily buffet breakfast will be served in El Mercat restaurant from 7.30am until 10.30am.
  • Dinner will be buffet style and will be served in El Mercat restaurant from 7pm until 10pm.
  • Welcome fruit basket includes a selection of seasonal fresh fruit.
  • The drink credit is for the purchase of one non-alcoholic drink per guest, per package.
  • The spa and wellness area is adults only (16+ years) and is open 11am to 8pm (Monday – Friday) and 10am to 8pm (Saturday and Sunday). Please ensure all bookings are made at least 90 minutes prior to desired time.
  • Late checkout is 2pm and subject to availability.
  • Onsite parking is available for EUR12.00 per day
  • Access to The Bamboo Pool Club is not included in packages.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this stunning 5-star hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the modern and elegant design, which created a luxurious yet welcoming atmosphere. The entire property was spotless — every corner, from the lobby to the guest rooms, was perfectly maintained. Our room was beautifully decorated, spacious, and equipped with all the amenities we could wish for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail in both the furnishings and the cleanliness was exceptional. The staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile, which made us feel truly valued as guests. Breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, catering to every taste. This hotel combines style, comfort, and impeccable service, making it the perfect choice for couples seeking a flawless luxury experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable and relaxing stay.

My review is based on the fact that they still have a way to go (and I hope they'll get there in time) to reach 5-star level. Point #1: My room was in a prime location, with fantastic views, but there were three adults and a child in our group. One of the adults and the child had to sleep on a sofa bed in the room, while the other two adults were able to enjoy the double bed, which was truly comfortable. Considering that all three adults paid the same rate, I don't think it's appropriate to have to sleep on a sofa bed in a 5-star hotel. Point #2: The waitstaff is far from being qualified for a 5-star hotel. They were very young and lacked any knowledge of food service, both at the buffet and in the Bambo restaurant. The staff of a 5-star hotel must have at least a basic understanding to provide good service in a hotel of this caliber. Because, I repeat… a 5-star hotel isn't exactly cheap, and when you pay, the least you should receive is professionalism. - At the buffet, the waiters had dirty aprons. The waiters couldn't communicate because they didn't understand our questions. At Bamboo, we had to wait an unbelievable amount of time, and when the food arrived, some ingredients were missing. At the bar on level -1, they served us coffee, and instead of bringing saccharin, they brought us salt. At the same bar, they served us Baileys with ice in a cheap, highball glass—even Chinese restaurants don't use those anymore. They need to improve quite a few things! I might give them another chance later and change my mind, but for now, they don't deserve 5 stars!
