Tucked between the coral-reef lagoon and lush tropical gardens in a sheltered bay, Ambre, A Sun Resort, Mauritius, is the perfect adults-only hideaway. Walk just 750 metres from the resort and you’ll reach velvet sands and turquoise water, or journey just 20 minutes by complimentary shuttle bus and water taxi to find the golfer’s paradise of Ile aux Cerfs. The resort is approximately a one-hour drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU). Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

We stayed at Ambre Mauritius on an all-inclusive basis for our honeymoon, and it was truly unforgettable. The resort itself is stunning – the location and the beach it sits on are absolutely perfect, with clear waters and soft sand that make it feel like paradise. The main pool was great and always a lovely spot to relax, although there were limited sunbeds around it, so you sometimes had to plan ahead to get one. That said, the poolside atmosphere was always enjoyable. What really made our stay so special was the staff – they were always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make sure everything was perfect. A special mention goes to Nicoletta, who went above and beyond. She organised a private romantic dinner and cake for our honeymoon, and also made my birthday extra special with breakfast in bed. Singh was also fantastic – he greeted us warmly on our very first day and even checked in with us again on our last, which made us feel really looked after. Around the pool, Angelino, Ajay, and Luv took amazing care of us every single day, always serving drinks with a smile and making sure we never went without. Also, all the staff in the Indigo Restaurant were brilliant, always smiling and making sure you have drinks and cutlery. The bar staff at the Ti-Bar were very good at making cocktails and would always come served to the table. These thoughtful touches made our trip truly memorable. We also highly recommend booking the 5 Island trip with Chris, who comes around by the pool. It was one of the highlights of our holiday and a great way to see more of Mauritius⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall, Ambre Mauritius exceeded our expectations and gave us memories we’ll treasure forever. Highly recommended!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently stayed at Ambre Hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The food was consistently good, with a nice variety and quality that made every meal enjoyable. The service throughout the hotel was also excellent – the staff were attentive, professional, and always ready to assist, which added a lot of comfort to the stay. That being said, I would rate my room 3/5. I had a courtyard room, which unfortunately was not the best in terms of view and ambiance. It felt a little underwhelming compared to the rest of the hotel’s standards. If you’re planning a stay, I would suggest opting for a different room category to fully enjoy what the hotel has to offer. One person who truly stood out during my stay was *Nicoletta*. She is such a wonderful woman – caring, genuine, and always going above and beyond to ensure that guests are happy. You can tell she really loves what she does and cares about people. On top of that, she has a fun, lighthearted personality and loves to share a laugh, which creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Meeting her was honestly one of the highlights of my stay. In short, Ambre Hotel offers great food, excellent service, and a team that truly makes a difference. While the room I stayed in could have been better, the positive energy and care from staff like *Nicoletta* made the stay memorable.

Wonderful Day Experience – Warm Hospitality and Great Service! My best friend and I spent a day package at the hotel, and from the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We were warmly welcomed by Samantha, who greeted us with a smile and a delicious welcome drink that really set the tone for the day. It was such a nice touch and made us feel instantly relaxed. Later, we headed to the Coral Bar, where we met Mr. Aza. His service was exceptional – attentive, friendly, and professional. He took great care of us and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our time there. During our meal at the Indigo Restaurant, we were again treated to amazing hospitality. Miss/Mrs. Diksha provided excellent service with such grace and attention to detail. Mr. Soobhas was also incredibly friendly and checked in with us to ensure everything was perfect – and it was! Overall, we had a fantastic day. The food and all the drinks were fresh and really good. The staff made all the difference with their genuine care and outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back, and we highly recommend the experience to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-hosted day out. — Selina

Lovely resort with stunning beach and views. Hotel looking a bit tired in places, could do with a refurb in near future. Activities were good, plenty of water sports. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Binod was our room service and kept it clean with fresh towels and bottles of water. Restaurant Dolce Vita was super but with some meals you had to pay extra for ie lobster, so just need to be careful what you order. All the same the food was great. Checking in and checking out was very easy and helpful staff. Mr Singh ensured that our suitcases got to and from our room safely. Very nice and helpful. All in all I would recommend this hotel and maybe one day come back for another great holiday.
