Designed by award-winning architects Glenn Murcutt and Wendy Lewin, this immaculate property features three purpose-built, private contemporary lodges. Each idyllic hillside lodge, nearly identical in layout and amenities, offers four chic bedrooms to comfortably accommodate eight guests. As the closest luxury accommodation to the Twelve Apostles, you’ll be wonderfully primed to explore the famous coastal sights of the immaculate Great Ocean Road.
Your lodge will feature exquisite details, including Gaggenau kitchen appliances, high-end European furniture, bespoke wood fireplaces and a remarkable collection of local and international wall art. Built with sustainability in mind, your lodge will utilise passive solar heating and an airy design that allows the Southern Ocean breeze to flow freely, epitomising sophisticated coastal living.
Alkina Lodge is perfectly situated on the scenic Great Ocean Road, the closest luxury accommodation to the Twelve Apostles, and a 30-minute drive from the charming town of Port Campbell. This secluded sanctuary is approximately a three-hour drive from Melbourne Airport (MEL), offering a tranquil retreat away from the city’s fast pace. Airport transfers are not included in your package, please plan accordingly.

7-Day Change of Mind ‘No Questions Asked’ Refund Guarantee: Things don’t always work out. Our 7-day Change of Mind Guarantee is there to help. Bookings (except for cruise bookings, flights and deposit fee, if applicable, which are subject to the cancellation terms of the relevant supplier) may be cancelled with a full refund provided that cancellation occurs strictly within 7 days from the date of purchase and provided that the cancellation is made no less than 14 days prior to the check-in date. Excludes flight and service fee, if applicable.
- Cancellations outside of the 7-Day Change of Mind period will not be provided, except as required by Australian Consumer Law, your local law or as otherwise provided for in the Fine Print.
Flexible Cancellation: You can cancel your booking for credit up until 21 days prior to the original check-in date. This can be done via self-service in your ‘My Escapes’ account. Your credit will be valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation. Credits are not transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. Excludes service fee, if applicable.
Please note this does not apply to flights booked with us. Flight fulfilment is provided by the airline(s) selected at the time of finalising the booking. For your air travel, you are bound by the terms and conditions and fare rules of the selected airline(s).
Date Changes: If you need to amend your booking, you can self-service unlimited date changes in your ‘My Escapes’ account up until 21 days before your original check-in date. If you can’t find a suitable date, or still need further assistance, please contact our 24/7 customer service team. Subject to availability and surcharges.

- Dining inclusions do not include drinks (unless otherwise stated). Menus are subject to change without notice.
- Continental breakfast hamper includes granola, a loaf of bread, butter, Otway Kitchen Jam, Otway Pastures milk, tea and coffee.
- Breakfast provisions are enough for eight people for one day.
- Welcome wine is a bottle of Sevita Prosecco from the King Valley in Victoria.
- Bicycle hire is valid for four hours per person, per stay. Subject to availability.
- Guests will be assigned either the Alkina Lodge Mira, Alkina Lodge Nuru or Alkina Lodge Yani upon booking. All lodges are almost identical in layout but will differ slightly in decor. Room images are an indication and details may vary.
Two-Hour Forest Bathing Experience Inclusions & Fine Print:
- Inclusions: A two-hour outdoor bathing and sauna experience for up to two guests at a time. Bathe in complete seclusion without interruption, with or without clothes. The two outdoor baths are heated to 38–40 degrees using Otway rainwater heated by wood fires.
- Alkina Lodge recommends a dusk bathing session between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. Clothing must be worn to the outdoor bathing location.
- There is an undercover area with clothing hooks for you to change and store your belongings. Towels are provided.
- The bathing experience is subject to availability. Bookings must be requested at least 24 hours in advance.
- Contact Alkina Lodge directly to request a booking.
- It is recommended that you request to book your experience immediately after booking your accommodation.
- Fire restrictions prohibit the use of forest bathing during the summer months.
- Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Operation of the baths is subject to weather conditions.
- Alkina Lodge reserves the right to change services without notice. This includes the closure of facilities.
