We’ve stayed here twice in the last two years, for about 4-5 days. From the moment you arrive, everything is impeccable -location is divine, rooms are impeccably designed, the staff is absolutely lovely including the life guard who took us to the nearby beaches, the chef is amazing and customised our food to our tastes while serving some of the nicest Sri Lankan food. Everyone is so warm and welcoming, you cannot ask for a better place than here to relax. Would definitely be back for a third visit soon.

Ahu Bay Feels Like Home in Paradise! 🌊 June 2025 Ahu Bay is one of those magical places that instantly feels like home, but with the most stunning ocean view you can imagine! 🌴 The sound of the waves, the palm trees, and the peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect escape. But what truly made it unforgettable was the people. Everyone working there was soooo friendly and genuinely kind from the moment we arrived until the very last goodbye. You can feel how much they care. If you’re looking for a place that’s relaxing, beautiful, and full of heart, Ahu Bay is the one. Can’t wait to come back! 🤍

We had a great 4 night stay at Ahu Bay. It was nice that Nilanga messaged ahead to discuss arrival time. Having a room right on the beach was a real treat and the private pool was kept spotless by the team. The team couldn’t do more for us during our stay, making adjustments to cocktails to suit ours tastes. We ate at hotel twice and both times really enjoyed the dishes we tried, it’s clear there’s a talented chef in the kitchen!

I stayed at Ahu Bay Resort for four days and three nights during the second week of October 2025. Pros: • Villa 101 is beautiful, very well organized, and tastefully designed. • The cleanliness standard inside the villa is outstanding. • The swimming pool is fantastic, and the sunset view from the pool is absolutely outstanding. Cons: • The resort is very small with only one restaurant. • Food prices are high compared to other places, and portions are quite small for the price. • The beach area is small and not as clean as the rooms. • Electricity was cut off a few times during our stay (including AC and Wi-Fi). • Water was cut off once during our stay. • There is new construction nearby, causing some noise — quite disturbing while sunbathing. • Several people on the beach constantly offered tour activities, which was annoying. • Many staff members do not speak English well, making communication difficult at times. • I requested a one-hour late checkout after a four-day, three-night stay, but it was declined in an unkind manner. The standards of a five-star hotel should be higher than this. Overall: While the villa and pool are excellent, the overall resort experience did not meet expectations for the price.
