About the hotel

1 Hotel Melbourne brings a new level of considered luxury to South Wharf, transforming the heritage-listed Goods Shed No. 5 into a design-led waterfront escape. Original steelwork, reclaimed timber and natural stone create a polished yet relaxed setting, while the Yarra River and city skyline set the scene just beyond the spacious suites and rooms.

It’s the kind of Melbourne staycation you book for the atmosphere as much as the address: long breakfasts with seasonal Victorian produce at From Here by Mike, a drink before dinner, then a slow reset at the indoor pool, sauna or Bamford Wellness Spa.

The hotel puts some of Melbourne’s best attractions within easy reach, with Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), Crown Melbourne and DFO South Wharf all within walking distance. The Melbourne CBD is also close by, making this an ideal base for discovering the city’s acclaimed dining, shopping, museums, galleries and cultural highlights.
