Indigenous Australian Traditional Weaving Workshop with First Nations Guides

Join the Southern Elders Weaving Group at the Living Kaurna Cultural Centre to learn the traditional skills and techniques of weaving. Used to create baskets, jewellery and nets, weaving is a deeply significant practice passed through generations. This hands-on experience fosters cultural understanding, guided by Elders who generously share their knowledge, skills and stories. Suitable for all ages, it’s a chance to respectfully engage with First Nations culture and appreciate the artistry and meaning woven into everyday life.
